Called in at the WIG shop in Elton Rd this morning ( was passing anyway).It's owned by an Asian guy...who is cool with Trans girls. ALL the stock is hair products...and wigs...some real hair , some synthetic....very good prices. They have lace front wigs..which show a nice realistic hairline. He can provide a private place for you to try wigs on...just ask. It's certainly worth a visit - even if you are just looking.

There are NO hairdressing facilities..no styling...just products to purchase.

An enjoyable night last night and I finally got to meet Zoe and Fatine, together with Susy, paul Sarah and Zoe's friend( sorry, cannot remember the name). Thanks girls but sadly nerly all the regulars were absent for one reason or another. Never mind, as Pnny says its summer!!! Well...for those who were'nt there - a brill night on Monday. I 'think' 18 ladies attended.

Good conversation and a variety of situations represented.

I have a personal suggestion ( please respond). Currently, with customers are in short supply ( us ), maybe we have more choices. Anyone have views on me finding a 'user friendly' straight pub ? I have one or two in mind. Suggestions as to a generally more convenient location for everyone to reach would be good.

Anyone interested - or are you happy to stay in a Gay place ?

We should all thank Gillian for creating the Group. Attendance last Monday approached B/ham numbers.

Hi, we haven't been there long so we need a period of settled meetings before we start considering another move. There are things against using a straight pub but I will discuss it if the demand is there. If we can get all the girls there on a regular basis we would have thirty +. As it is we virtually took over the pub heehee!!!

On another note we have had donated a girls entire wardrobe in size 14/16 and shoes in size 7. There are also stockings and undersets( all are washed or new) If you want to browse then let me know.

It might be nice to head to other pubs on occasion, but I think the "safe haven" for the regular meetings is a must especially for the more nervous girls. Its a big step for a lot of people and so the Duke of York is a good starting point.

we have had a question posed as to whether anyone is going to the advertised event at Cursons on 28th!! as advertised on chix. Anyone going?? secondly I have had no response about the donated clothing and shoes so unless i do they will go to the charity shop, as I do not have the room to store them.

racheal sent this note to the groups email address Hi I'm coming to definitly coming to Derby on friday for the 'divine' event at Curzons I will probably try a couple of the gay pubs in the area, which ones would you reccommend or advise me to avoid. I'm going to be staying at the Heitage hotel in Macklin St, and as it is near to the Duke of York I would plan a future trip to come to reflections probably on 13th october . As I work shifts and have different days of on certain weeks I plan all my nights out as Rachel in different places according to my roster and the events calender. As you know I get to outskirts about every 6-8 weeks I also go to Leeds on the first friday of each month using leave days and aso go to Manchester Concord every 3 weeks when I have a wednesday and thursday off. This week I'm trying some new places on thursday night I'm going to Worcester for the saucey girls event and on friday it will be my first time out in Derby I don't know what to expect its always a bit exciting trying somewhere new.

Not as many there as I'd expected. Only stayed a couple of hours as it was not all that much fun. Chatted to a couple of nice 'girls', one from Nottingham...one from Surrey. Came back and finished the night in the Union.
